World Tourism Day with G Adventures

September 28, 2016

Since 1980, the United Nations World Tourism Organization has celebrated World Tourism Day on September 27th to raise awareness of the role of tourism within the international community and its affects on the social, cultural, political landscape worldwide. This year we celebrated World Tourism Day with adventure travel pioneer, G Adventures at District 28. G Adventures is committed to the role tourism plays offering socially and environmentally sustainable travel. Preserving cultural heritage and replenishing the natural environment, while improving the lives of local people, is the essence of their way of travelling and is integrated into every decision and action they take at G Adventures. Guests were treated to cultural cuisine while exploring the innovative activations throughout the venue. Highlight activities included making your mark on the giant G Adventures mural in the Hangar, and the vitural reality experience in the First Class Lounge transporting VIP's and media members to the most remote corners of India. At 7:30pm G Adventures Founder, Bruce Poon Tip, announced the Jane Goodall Collection of wildlife-focued tours and gave away an all-inclusive trip for two on their newest river cruise in the Mekong. Check out some of our favourite moments of the evening below:
