Now that it’s winter, I know you’re jetting off to LA soon.. But what’s the one thing that gets you out of bed in the morning?
SUNLIGHT & SUNSHINE!
I need to sleep with the windows up and curtains open... That and the promise of a good yoga session!
How long have you been doing yoga and is it your daily routine?
I’ve been doing yoga since I was in my teens and try to get in at least 6 sessions a week… I didn’t yesterday so I can’t lie and say I do, but it’s so helpful first thing in the morning. Unfortunately when I have to be somewhere early or have 4:30 call times, is when I miss out.
What are you going to miss most about Toronto?
To be honest, the snow! It’s quite funny all I want is to get away from the cold but some of my favourite days are in High Park when there’s snow on the ground and it’s sunny.
In Canada we get that cold crispy sun that is so bright and beautiful… As long as there is sun, I can handle some winter chills. Even Harbour Front skating with a lovely tea blend….
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
It’s to ASK QUESTIONS… When I was first starting out, I had a mentor.. Who is still very much a mentor to me, he just told me don’t be afraid to ask questions. Know that life is never about an end point. I mean the end point is death obviously (ok there is an end point)… But you are consistently working to learn, grow and realize everyone has something to offer.
Don’t be afraid to be ignorant either… Not in a bad way, but don’t fear not knowing something.
