How did you get into PR?
My passions for storytelling and creative strategy have eventually led me to a career in PR. I did my undergrad in journalism at Ryerson University with the goal of one day working as a magazine editor. After university, I returned to my hometown of Vancouver to intern at BCBusiness Magazine, where I realized that my favourite part of the job was discussing story ideas and themes for each issue at the weekly editorial meetings. Upon that realization, I decided I wanted to work in a more collaborative work environment and returned to Toronto to do my post grad in PR at Humber College. Now, here I am at Faulhaber!
What’s your favourite part about working at FAULHABER?
The people – creative ideas keep the office buzzing and I love collaborating with my colleagues on a daily basis.
What’s your idea of the perfect Friday night?
My idea of a perfect Friday night includes a delicious dinner and cocktails out at a new restaurant with my girlfriends. There’s so much to do in this city – I also enjoy seeing the ballet, theatre, and exploring Toronto’s different neighbourhoods!
What’s your favourite TV show?
Nashville. I’m not usually a country music fan, but the music in the show is phenomenal and I enjoy watching strong female leads on screen.
What’s your favourite spot to unwind in Toronto?
My favourite yoga studio – Yoga Space. I make a point of going at least three times a week to unwind and challenge myself with new postures.
Soma chocolate and a glass of wine!
If you could be anywhere in the world right now where would it be?
Utrecht, in the Netherlands. I spent six months living there while in university and miss the people, boutiques, and cycling.
