This Year's AMA's: Top Five Noteworthy Moments

November 23, 2015

As much as we dread the thought of Monday mornings, #FHQ was buzzing bright and early yesterday with the sound all things music, fashion, and juicy Hollywood gossip. The 2015 American Music Awards took place last night in Los Angeles and left us all in awe as our favourite celebrities took the stage. In case you didn’t get a chance to tune in, we’ve rounded up the top five most noteworthy moments of the night.

Coming in fifth, between Jennifer Lopez’s seemingly endless wardrobe changes and Harry Style’s jaw dropping Gucci suit, it’s evident that all the stars brought their Sunday best to the red carpet. One of the trends that we can’t stop talking about are the shimmering ensembles that filled the night.  Just a few of our favourite looks are from Selena Gomez, Carrie Underwood and Ciara.

Our fourth top moment of the evening was when Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth ended their performance with a steamy kiss. Marvin Gaye would be proud.

Third top moment? Definitely when Nick Jonas took the stage and performed a mashup of his three latest songs, ChainsLevels and Jealous. Recently dubbed the next Justin Timberlake by Jay Z, Nick's performance definitely proved that he is more than worthy of his new, unofficial title!

Coming in second? The biggest award of the night, Artist of the Year, was swooped up by One Direction who recently released their fifth album, Made in the A.M. The group also took to the stage to perform their hit, Perfect, and left us all wishing their 2016 hiatus was just a dream.

Our top moment of the night? In the midst of all the glamour, Jared Leto and Celine Dion collaborated on a touching Paris tribute. Be sure to check out Dion’s performance of Hymne à L’Amour and the Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman’s heartwarming speech.

What were your favourite moments of last night’s American Music Awards? Let us know!
