From the desk of Christine Faulhaber: W100 & Female Entrepreneurship
May 21, 2015
Faulhaber Communications founder, President & CEO, Christine Faulhaber has been recognized via the W100.
The 2015 PROFIT/Chatelaine Ranking of Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs recognizes and celebrates the achievements of female entrepreneurs.
The members of the W100 are inspirational figures, intelligent business people, creative individuals and role models to women across the nation.
We sat down with our fearless leader to chat about how she’s built her incredible career and to get a little inside advice for future entrepreneurs.
Who has had the largest influence on your career?
Belinda Stronach & Joeffer Caoc.
Joeffer Caoc was the first designer I had the opportunity to work one-on-one with.
It was with Joeffer that I learned the foundations of entrepreneurship, key business skills and networking.
Do you believe in work/life balance? If so, how do you manage it?
There’s no such a thing. My work and life happen simultaneously and I enjoy them simultaneously.
How did you start Faulhaber Communications?
In 2001, I spent the summer in Greece. Cliché or not, it changed my life and perspective.
14 years ago, I started working in my kitchen on my laptop. All of my initial work came from friends, referrals and it grew from there.
Any advice for young entrepreneurs?
Make yourself invaluable to your employer. Find out what they need and fill the hole. You’ll become irreplaceable and invaluable.
