#FGOES: Vacations for the Conscious Spender
February 23, 2016
The FSquad is known for their epic travel adventures and wanderlust but who said you needed to empty the bank account to take a vacation? We’ve rounded up bucket list-worthy destinations that are perfect for the conscious spender.
Enjoy a heart-warming bowl of pho (Vietnamese noodle soup) in Vietnam’s capitol city, Hanoi. Hanoi is known for it’s rich heritage, food markets and luxurious hotels for very little cost. If you’re into colonial architecture, be sure to visit the Bach Ma Temple. This tourist hotspot is the oldest temple in the city built to honour Emperor Ly Thai To’s white horse.
If you absolutely love the combination of sweet and spicy be sure to try a pad Thai dish (stir-fried rice noodles) after visiting the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand. If you’re a sucker for exotic animals, this tourist hotspot is one of the first sanctuaries for rescued elephants in Chiang Mai. It allows for tourists to interact and get up close and personal with the elephants while feeding and washing them.
Enjoy an ice-cold Beer Lao after exploring Si Phan Don (Four Thousand Islands) in Laos. If you’re a thrill seeker, Laos is known for its beautiful wildlife and authenticity. You can bike, swim, tube, kayak or go dolphin watching.
