#FGOES: The FDrive’s Spring Restaurant Roundup

As we say goodbye to winter and welcome the budding flowers and growing daylight that is spring, is seems as though Toronto’s restaurant industry has been in full bloom since January. New hotspots to wine and dine have been popping up in every crevasse of the city. With Toronto Life’s 2016 Best Restaurant event less than a month away, we thought we would get a head start on the food tasting.

Provo Food Bar

The AGO’s new neighbour is a foodie’s heaven. The Korean, Creole, French and Caribbean influences all present in the restaurant’s small plate menu ensure that there’s something even the pickiest of eaters will love.

Beaumont Kitchen

The much anticipated opening of Saks Fifth Avenue was matched with a whirlwind of excitement for Beaumont Kitchen. Located adjacent to Saks Fifth Avenue at Sherway Gardens, this west Toronto hotspot is the brainchild of Oliver & Bonacini, so you can expect to dine on the same high end fair and drinks.

The Baro

For those of you who are working on your summer bodies (we commend you) have no fear. The Baro Chopped Salad Shoppe has arrived in the Queen and Spadina area to make sure you’re meeting your veggie requirements for the day.

Nota Bene

Although not necessarily new to Queen West, Nota Bene recently got a face lift which included a brand new menu. The revamped restaurant hasn’t strayed far from their high class roots, but they have begun to place more emphasis on vegetarian and seafood options.

Basil Box

Basil Box has officially opened its second location, putting a southasian spin on Chipotle-style dining. The fast-food-without-the-guilt dining experience packs a rainbow assortment of veggies into quick and easy meal boxes.
