#FGOES: C2 Montréal

This year, our fearless leader invested in C2 Montréal, a three-day immersive event designed to explore new ways of doing business. With a focus on innovation and creativity, C2 hosted talks by industry leaders, masterclasses, workshops, entrepreneur programs, artistic performances, and exhibits highlighting the hottest tech. After the illuminating experience came to a close, Christine had time to reflect and pick out what information inspired her to think outside the box.
1. It’s better to be something someone loves than to interrupt what they love.
Traditional ads do not work anymore. Once you understand your target market, find new ways to integrate your brand into their world without being invasive. For example: as a company targeting Generation Z, instead of interrupting their Youtube makeup tutorial with a 15 second ad, produce a Youtube series and collaborate with influencers that they already love.
2. What’s in it for me?
People are not going to engage or share your brand on social unless the brand is answering the question: What’s in it for me? Add value as a company. Make an impact by serving a purpose.
3. Your next biggest competitor isn't even on the market.
You think you’re good now, just wait. A brand must constantly innovate and reinvent itself to stay current and remain a leader in the industry. Always evolve, always stay two steps ahead.
