#FEVENTS: Introducing EDIT
May 16, 2017
Just when we thought the month of September couldn’t get any better (hello, TIFF) Toronto was chosen to launch a fresh, innovative and fully-immersive festival this fall. Canada’s only design museum, Design Exchange, has collaborated with the United Nations Development Programme to create something completely unique to anything Canada has ever experienced.
EDIT: Expo for Design, Innovation & Technology is a 10-day biennial festival that will create a multi-dimensional oasis out of East Harbour (formerly Unilever Soap Factory). Look out for thought-provoking installations, interactive programming, and forward-thinking speakers from all corners of the globe, which will showcase how the power of design, innovation, and technology can provide solutions to the planet’s grand challenges.
Covering 150,000 square-feet and five floors, EDIT’s main theme, Prosperity For All, will touch on all senses through an exploration of four themes: Shelter, Nourish, Care and Educate.
What’s the FSQUAD most excited for? We wish we could choose between Bruce Mau’s headlining installation, taste testing cricket Bolognese and an extra-special exhibit dubbed “Project Unicorn”…should we go on?
Be sure to mark September 28- October 8, 2017 on your calendar, this incredible 360-degree experience is not one to miss!
