As Andy Williams famously chimed, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” His celebrated Christmas carol paints a wondrous picture of the holiday season, depicting jingle bells, good cheer, mistletoe, roasting marshmallows, and hosting parties. While accompanied by a cheery musical score and soothing baritone voice, these festivities seem heartwarming; in reality, the holidays are a double-edged sword.
